We are looking for an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to join our transport and logistics operation, specifically focusing on aviation for inflight catering for airlines. In this role, you will report to the Operations Manager and be responsible for overseeing warehouse operations. You will manage a team of over 30 individuals and ensure that all inbound and outbound freight movements are completed accurately and on schedule. Your contributions will be essential in maintaining service levels and safety standards. Schedule will be Tuesday to Saturday from 03:00pm to 11:30pm. ️ Your Day-to-Day ✔️ Operational Supervision: Manage daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods to ensure on-time delivery. ✔️ Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and schedule staff, including shift rosters and performance management. ✔️ Inventory Control: Ensure inventory accuracy, conducting regular stock counts and maintaining accurate records of inbound and outbound stock. ✔️ Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe work environment, ensuring strict adherence to WHS (Workplace Health and Safety) standards and manual handling regulations. ✔️ Logistics Management: Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and transportation services to optimize freight movement and manage costs. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving workflow, reducing costs, and increasing efficiency in warehouse procedures. What We’re Looking For ✔️ Ideally you will have at least 3 years’ experience in warehouse operations, including a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or team leader role. ✔️ Solid experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and general computer applications for stock control and reporting. ✔️ Demonstrated leadership capability and the ability to work effectively alongside a small team in a hands-on capacity. ✔️ Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of individuals to achieve results. ✔️ Relevant qualification in logistics/supply chain is advantageous but not essential. ✔️ Unrestricted Australian working rights ✔️ Please note that as this role is within the Aviation Services industry, obtaining a clear National Police Check will be necessary.
