The role: We are currently looking for an experienced Paralegal to join a highly successful blended Corporate (M&A) and Debt Finance team in our Melbourne Office. The successful candidate will work directly with Partners and a range of lawyers, with the opportunity to have variety of work, a degree of autonomy and opportunities for career progression and advancement. The successful candidate will: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work directly with clients; Enjoy a high level of client exposure and direct interaction with banks and private lenders, as well as large corporate clients; Assist and support the team on aspects of larger Corporate (M&A) transactions; Demonstrate initiative and proactivity, with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively as part of the team; Independently run medium scale front end lending and discharge transactions (including document preparation, certification and arranging and attending to both physical and PEXA settlements); Demonstrate strong attention to detail, a client service orientation and an enthusiastic approach to your work; Possess excellent time management and organisational skills; and Have a proficiency using FileSite or a similar document management system. Ideally, you are talented and ambitious and enjoy working in a collegial environment. To be successful in this role, you will ideally have at least 3 years' experience as a paralegal in a similar practice with exposure to conveyancing and financing transactions.
