The Project Deep in the Snowy Mountains, the Cabramurra Township is undergoing a major electrical infrastructure transformation and you'll be the engineer leading it from Brisbane. This isn't a desk job pushing paper. You'll be at the technical heart of a high-complexity HV/LV upgrade involving underground cabling, advanced substation technology, and critical infrastructure that regional and industrial communities depend on. You'll coordinate directly with on-site teams, drive design decisions, and see your engineering fingerprint on something genuinely significant. If you want a project you'll still be talking about in ten years; this is it. What You'll Be Doing Specifying and procuring HV/LV substations — RMUs, transformers, switchboards, kiosk enclosures Designing HV and LV cable routes including conduits, pits, submains, and distribution pillars Leading protection grading and arc flash studies using ETAP Driving earthing design via SafeGrid analysis Coordinating civil pad design alongside electrical requirements Managing connection agreements and associated studies with the Service Provider Liaising with surveyors, contractors, and stakeholders to keep delivery on track What We're Looking For Degree in Electrical Engineering (or trade-qualified with strong infrastructure project experience) Proven hands-on experience in HV/LV distribution, substations, and electrical infrastructure delivery Proficiency in ETAP, SafeGrid, and AutoCAD Strong grounding in protection systems, fault studies, and earthing design A natural collaborator — someone who can lead technical conversations and bring stakeholders with them PSSE/PSCAD experience is a genuine advantage Why PHE?
