Cranfield Group are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assembly Machine Operator on behalf of our client in Prestons to join their production team. This role is responsible for operating and monitoring assembly machines to produce quality products in a safe, efficient, and timely manner, while meeting production targets and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Set up, operate, and monitor assembly machinery according to work instructions and specifications Load raw materials and components into machines and remove finished products Perform routine checks to ensure machines are running correctly and safely Conduct basic machine adjustments and minor troubleshooting Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards Complete quality checks and record production data accurately Maintain a clean and organised work area in line with WHS standards Follow standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and company policies Report faults, defects, or safety concerns to the supervisor Assist with general production and assembly tasks as required Skills & Experience Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferred) Experience operating assembly or production machinery (training can be provided) Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to read and follow work instructions and diagrams Strong attention to detail and quality Basic computer or production system skills (desirable) Personal Attributes Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to learn and follow instructions Physically fit and capable of performing repetitive tasks Strong work ethic and positive attitude Qualifications & Licences (Desirable) Forklift licence (LF) Experience with automated or semi-automated machinery Understanding of workplace health and safety practices
