Florina's Greek Tavern is seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our busy Greek restaurant in Elsternwick, 3185. The role involves preparing and presenting high-quality Greek cuisine while maintaining consistency, food safety, and kitchen efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare, cook, and present Greek dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards Plan menus in consultation with management, considering seasonal produce and customer preferences Ensure all food is prepared and stored in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations Monitor food quality at all stages of preparation and presentation Manage kitchen operations during service, including timing and coordination with front-of-house staff Assist with stock control, ordering ingredients, and minimising wastage Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and food preparation areas Train and supervise kitchen staff as required Skills and Experience Required: Relevant qualification in commercial cookery or equivalent Minimum 1 years of full-time experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume environment Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards
