We focus on supporting each child’slearning, growth, and social development through high-quality educational and recreational programs About the Role Rise & Shine Early Learning Centre is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Childcare Educator (Group Leader) to join our team. This role involves leading a room, supporting educators, and delivering high-quality educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS) . You will play a key role in ensuring a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment that supports children’s learning, development, and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the daily operations and routines within the room Plan, implement, and evaluate engaging learning programs aligned with EYLF Prepare and organise materials, resources, and equipment for educational and play-based activities Deliver a variety of structured and play-based experiences to support children’s development Guide children’s behaviour and support their social and emotional development Engage children through storytelling, play, games, and interactive learning experiences Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure safety and wellbeing Oversee daily routines including meals, rest, transitions, and personal care Maintain high standards of hygiene and support children with self-care practices Mentor, support, and guide educators and students within the room Ensure compliance with NQF, relevant regulations, and centre policies Maintain accurate documentation, observations, and developmental records Build and maintain positive relationships with families and communicate children’s progress Contribute to a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment Skills & Requirements Diploma (or higher) in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA approved) Demonstrated experience as a Room Leader or Lead Educator Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQS, and regulatory requirements Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills Ability to support children with diverse needs Passion for early childhood education and child development Compliance Requirements Valid Working with Children Check (Victoria) Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification Child Protection Training How to Apply Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume and a cover letter outlining their suitability for the role.
