Paediatric Consultant (Multidisciplinary Outpatient Service) Location: Adelaide, South Australia Role: Paediatric Consultant – Multidisciplinary Outpatient Service Contract: Full-Time, Ongoing Remuneration: $366,283 – $822,189 p.a. (MD2 classification, inclusive) About the Role As a senior paediatric specialist, you will provide high‑quality outpatient care, collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, and support coordinated paediatric services across the network. You may also assist with admitted paediatric patients and support the Emergency Department in the management of critically unwell children. Participation in after‑hours rosters across Paediatrics, Neonatology and/or Child Protection may be required. This is a leadership-focused role with strong emphasis on teaching, mentoring, quality improvement and service development. What You’ll Do Provide outpatient paediatric care within a multidisciplinary service Support critically unwell paediatric cases in ED when required Participate in after‑hours on‑call rosters (as allocated) Mentor and educate junior medical and allied health staff Engage in quality improvement, research, audit and service development Collaborate across hospital divisions and with external health partners About You Specialist registration with AHPRA in Paediatrics (or equivalent eligibility) Strong clinical judgement and experience in general and developmental paediatrics Effective communicator with demonstrated leadership skills Commitment to equitable, compassionate, patient‑centred care Experience in teaching and supporting trainees Why Adelaide & NALHN?
