About the role Based on-site at Berri Estates , one of the largest winery operations in the Southern Hemisphere, this is a hands‑on, highly visible HR role supporting leaders and employees across Winery, Packaging and Warehouse operations in a unionised environment . Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, Supply Chain & Operations East , you’ll partner closely with operational leaders—balancing complex employee relations work with broader people, culture and change initiatives. The role may be appointed at HR Business Partner or Senior HR Business Partner level , depending on experience. Key Responsibilities Include: Employee & Industrial Relations Manage complex ER matters including performance, misconduct, grievances and disputes Partner with leaders on EA interpretation, consultation processes and union engagement Support preparation for upcoming enterprise agreement negotiations Leadership & Culture Coach leaders to build confident, capable people leadership Embed performance, accountability and values‑led behaviours Use people insights to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities Change & Workforce Planning Support organisational change and consultation activities Partner with leaders on workforce planning and seasonal/vintage resourcing Talent, Reward & Governance Work closely with Talent Acquisition on recruitment and workforce pipelines Contribute to performance cycles, remuneration reviews and policy implementation Partner with Health, Safety & Sustainability to strengthen site safety culture About Your Experience You’ll bring: Experience as an HR Business Partner or Senior HRBP in a complex or operational environment Strong ER/IR capability, including EA interpretation and union engagement Confidence partnering with frontline and senior leaders A practical, solutions‑focused approach and sound judgement Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, beverage or agribusiness environments Why Join Us? • Career pathways across Advisor, Coordinator and Business Partner levels • Exposure to EA negotiations, operational HR and global HR projects • Supportive HR leaders committed to your development • Impact at scale across a major wine production site • Values led culture focused on safety, performance and people Plus great benefits including: Staff wine allowance and access to unique wine specials Paid Parental Leave Start your weekend early with our Fast Friday finishes!
