Job Description The Surgery department is staffed by 3 ACVS-boarded Specialist Surgeons, a surgical ANZCVS-trained Registrar, a Surgical Resident, 2 Interns, and a large team of highly skilled surgical nurses. The role encompasses assisting the surgeons with consultations, diagnostic procedures, surgical procedures, case management and patient discharges, assisting the nurses with anaesthesia, and assisting with post-operative care of patients. The interns will also be trained in performing diagnostic procedures such as radiography, CT and MRI. We see a large and varied surgical caseload, with cases from the Emergency department as well as referrals from referring practices all over Victoria and Tasmania. We value work-life balance; therefore, the position is Monday to Friday 4 days a week with no after-hours requirements. We strive to provide an enjoyable and supportive work environment.
