Hands on PM role where your sparky trade background is genuinely valued Hybrid - 2 days WFH, 3 days in the office (with occasional travel to site) Embedded networks, solar PV, battery storage and EV charging - all in one gig THE COMPANY Our client is a leading embedded network retailer delivering utility infrastructure to residential and mixed-use communities across the East Coast. They own the network, buy energy in bulk, and on-sell to tenants, covering electricity metering, solar PV, EV charging, battery storage, hot water, and gas plant. Projects run from $50K brownfield upgrades to $2M-plus new builds, with up to 70 active at any time across SEQ and NSW. YOUR ROLE This is a hands-on delivery role. You will own a live project portfolio from sales handover through to completion, managing contractors, coordinating with body corporates and developers, tracking budgets, and making sure what gets installed matches what was contracted. You report to a Project Delivery Manager who came up through the trades as a sparky himself. This role is fast-paced and highly varied. Key responsibilities: Delivering electrical infrastructure projects: solar PV, EV charging, metering, battery storage, and hot water plant Managing contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors across greenfield and brownfield sites Engaging body corporates, building managers, and developers to keep projects moving Tracking budgets, forecasts, and cash flow with monthly reporting Procurement and contract management to protect the business's commercial position Risk identification, issue resolution, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards YOUR BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE The hiring manager is an electrician by trade and knows what good looks like. He needs someone who has been on site, can hold their own with builders and developers, and is polished enough to represent the business with clients and body corporates. Essential: Electrical trade background or substantial hands-on exposure to the industry Demonstrated project management experience across multiple concurrent projects Technical knowledge of solar PV, EV charging, or battery storage Sound commercial acumen with exposure to managing contracts, cost tracking, scope management Experience managing contractors and holding them accountable QLD driver's licence and willingness to travel across SEQ Desirable: Experience with body corporates or brownfield building upgrades Formal PM qualification or electrical/energy engineering study Background in embedded networks, utilities, or infrastructure delivery WHAT'S ON OFFER Hybrid working, 3 days in office, 2 days’ work from home Wellbeing day annually, loyalty leave from year five, option to purchase additional leave Autonomy to own your work in a fast-paced, collaborative team NEXT STEPS If you have come off the tools and have some exposure to Project Management, apply now.
