About the Role: As a Lead Educator, you’ll work alongside the Centre Director and Educational Leader to design and deliver high-quality, culturally responsive learning experiences for children. You will: Lead and Mentor: Guide and support educators, promoting professional growth and high standards of care. Implement Programs: Develop and evaluate specialized programs that support each child’s unique needs and interests. Create a Safe Space: Maintain a safe, hygienic, and engaging environment for children and team members, in line with OHS and Duty of Care standards. Build Connections: Cultivate warm relationships with children, families, and colleagues, ensuring every child feels a strong sense of belonging. Document Learning: Keep accurate records of each child’s progress and development, aligning with centre policies and national regulations. Champion the Environment as the Third Teacher Recognise both indoor and outdoor environments as essential contributors to children’s learning. Carefully design, curate and maintain beautiful, inspiring spaces that invite exploration, spark curiosity and reflect children’s voices. Take pride in presentation, ensuring learning environments are purposeful, culturally responsive and thoughtfully arranged. Pedagogy & Practice Create child-safe, empowering environments where every child’s rights, identity and agency are upheld. Design and document learning experiences based on children’s interests, strengths and cultural identities. Bring theory and research into everyday practice in a clear and meaningful way. Engage in reflective practice, professional dialogue and collaborative planning with team members. What You’ll Need to Succeed: An Early Childhood Qualification recognized at a Children’s Services Employee Level 4 or higher. Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management certifications. Substantial professional experience and strong administrative skills, with a knack for time management. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and positively with children and adults. Proven leadership skills and high self-motivation.
