About this role Are you an aspiring Finance or Accounting professional with a passion for accuracy, problem-solving and supporting strong financial governance? We are inviting Expressions of Interest for Undergraduate Internship Opportunities – Finance (Accounting/ Accounts Payable) . These Brisbane‑based internships provide hands‑on experience across core Finance functions including accounts payable, accounting support, financial data entry, vendor management, and month-end processes. The internship is structured for full‑time participation during the June/July 2026 semester break and two days per week during semester , offering practical exposure that supports future finance or accounting career pathways. This internship is designed to develop early‑career capability and may support progression into future graduate opportunities, subject to performance and business needs. Responsibilities Accounts Payable: Process supplier invoices, perform three ‑ way matching, check coding and approvals, assist with payment runs, and resolve invoice discrepancies. Accounting Support: Assist with journal preparation, reconciliations, accruals, and supporting documentation for month ‑ end activities. Vendor & Procurement Support: Maintain supplier details, liaise with internal teams to resolve PO and invoice queries, support vendor onboarding, and update registers. Financial Data & Reporting: Update finance trackers, assist with cost reporting, format financial data in Excel, and prepare summaries for management. Compliance & Documentation: Support audit ‑ ready record keeping, assist with maintaining finance procedures, and ensure documents are filed accurately in line with internal controls. Process Improvement: Contribute ideas to streamline AP workflows, strengthen financial controls, and improve accuracy in financial processes. To be considered, you’ll ideally bring Final or penultimate-year studies in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or Business , or a related discipline. High attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical skills, and accuracy in data entry. Strong interest in developing a career in accounting, financial operations, accounts payable, or corporate finance. Interest in Finance Operations in construction projects and willingness to in the future mobilise for a project for site project experience as part of early career development. High attention to detail, strong written communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Confident with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); exposure to financial systems (e.g., SAP, Pronto, MYOB, Oracle) is advantageous. A proactive, people‑focused mindset with the ability to build positive working relationships. Availability: Full‑time during the June/July 2026 break, then 2 days/week during semester (flexible around assessments/exams), based in Brisbane. Current Australian work rights.
