Connecting Plots is an independent creative agency working with leading brands across strategy, digital, social, production, PR and media. As the business continues to grow and deliver increasingly complex integrated campaigns, we are seeking a Business Analyst to support both internal business performance and client-facing strategic projects. This role plays a critical part in translating business data into strategic insights, supporting senior leadership and client teams in making evidence-based commercial and marketing decisions. Role Overview The Business Analyst will work closely with agency leadership, strategy teams, client services and production teams to analyse operational data, evaluate campaign performance and develop analytical frameworks that improve both agency efficiency and client outcomes. The role requires advanced analytical capability, commercial acumen and the ability to interpret complex datasets across marketing, operational and financial domains. Key Responsibilities 1. Business Intelligence & Operational Analysis Analyse agency financial and operational data to identify performance trends and opportunities for improvement Develop analytical models to assess project profitability, resource utilisation and cost efficiency Provide insights to leadership to support strategic planning and operational decision-making Design reporting dashboards and performance tracking frameworks for agency management Evaluate business workflows and recommend improvements to operational processes 2. Client Data & Marketing Intelligence Analyse campaign performance data across digital, social and integrated marketing channels Support strategy teams with research, data interpretation and market insights Develop performance measurement frameworks and reporting models for client campaigns Translate complex data into strategic insights and recommendations for clients Assist in evaluating ROI, audience behaviour and campaign effectiveness 3. Strategic Planning & Commercial Support Assist with pricing models, project scoping and commercial forecasting Support senior leadership in evaluating new business opportunities and service offerings Conduct market research and industry analysis to inform agency growth strategies Provide analytical support during major project planning and proposal development Skills & Experience The successful candidate will typically possess: A degree in business, analytics, economics, information systems, marketing analytics or a related discipline Strong data analysis, financial modelling and strategic thinking capability Experience working with business intelligence tools, spreadsheets and analytical software Ability to analyse large datasets and communicate insights clearly to stakeholders Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability Experience in marketing, consulting, digital or creative industries is highly regarded Why Connecting Plots?
