Job Description The position The People & Culture Business Partner is accountable for partnering with our people leaders to design and implement workable P&C solutions that are practical, business-focused and aligned to P&C’s strategic objectives. The P&C Business Partner will be the trusted advisor for a designated client group providing expert advice and support on a broad spectrum of P&C activities including performance management, employee relations, industrial relations, workforce planning, succession planning, talent management and change management. This is a hands-on role that is generalist by nature. Key accountabilities of the People & Culture Business Partner include, but are not limited to: Act as a primary point of contact for people leaders within the organisation. Oversee the Residential Care Worker Register and be the point of contact for external organisations wanting further information on employees with flags against their names. Update and adjust flags on the Residential Care Worker Register, pending outcomes of investigations. Work in partnership with the leadership team to manage and resolve sensitive and complex organisation, people, WHS and change related issues. Foster and maintain partnerships and relationship with key stakeholders across the business. This includes but is not limited to developing relationships built on credibility and open communication. You will be approachable and your practice will be customer service focused. Provide timely and expert advice, coaching and support on all P&C matters. Build leadership capability through empowerment coaching. Strategically manage and facilitate effective workforce planning, identifying critical roles and skills gaps, ensuring robust succession planning is developed and implemented to meet Marist180’s talent strategies. Develop strategies and help implement actions that enhance our people. Ensure fair and ethical P&C practices. Conduct objective and procedurally fair workplace investigations in line with policy and best practice. Act as a Change Agent. Assist our people leaders to lead and facilitate change. Communicate change initiatives internally, gaining the trust of our employees, making change easier for employees and influencing positive outcomes. Support and promote P&C initiatives through proactive engagement with employees and managers. Lead and/or participate in projects as required. Analyse trends and P&C metrics to develop business solutions and inform policy. Model and promote positive behaviours within the workplace. Actively promote safety and wellbeing practices and proactively identify, address and escalate risks as appropriate. Assisting the Return-to-Work Coordinator by case managing workers compensation claims. As directed by the Manager – Performance, Compliance and WHS undertake other related duties within the scope of this position. Desired Skills and Experience The candidate Qualifications: Tertiary qualified in Human Resources or another related discipline. Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a HR Generalist or Business Partnering role. Experience & Skills: Experience in the not-for-profit, community services, or human services sector. Strong understanding of the SCHADS Award and Not-For-Profit sector. Significant experience in industrial relations and sound understanding of industrial and employee relations theory, principles, policies and practices. Experience working with HR Information System (ELMO, EmpLive and/or Employment Hero is highly desirable) Ability to provide advice, develop options, analyse risks, make good judgements and solve problems. Ability to build strong relationships with has collaborative and influential stakeholder management capability. Work Requirement: as a current employee your compliances should already be current.
