Established in 2002, Carbal is a not-for-profit organisation delivering integrated clinical services, outreach programs, and community health initiatives across the Darling Downs and Southern Downs. Position Overview Carbal is seeking a highly capable and experienced Practice Manager to provide operational leadership for the Toowoomba (Russell Street) Clinic. This is a senior leadership role responsible for the day-to-day operational performance of a high-demand primary care clinic. The successful candidate will oversee workforce coordination, patient flow, compliance, performance monitoring, and selected service improvement initiatives. A key component of the role is strong communication and collaboration with GPs, clinical leaders and multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective information flow, coordinated problem-solving and alignment between clinical and operational priorities. The role also includes operational oversight of clinic-based research activity, supporting recruitment processes, managing workflow impacts, and ensuring agreed research deliverables and timelines are met alongside core service delivery. Clinical governance oversight is a critical element of the role, ensuring services are delivered safely, consistently and in accordance with accreditation, quality and regulatory standards. This position is well suited to an experienced Practice Manager, Clinic Manager or Health Operations Manager with a proven track record managing busy and complex primary care environments.
