About the Business: Ollies Cake House is a reputable bakery based in Ipswich,QLD, specialising in high-quality pastries, cakes, and baked goods. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Pastrycook to join our team. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Inspect equipment and work areas prior to production to ensure cleanliness and compliance with workplace health and safety standards Assess the quality of raw ingredients and accurately measure and prepare them for production Prepare and process dough and pastry items through mixing, kneading, shaping, and finishing techniques Produce a variety of pastry fillings in line with product requirements Control and monitor baking processes, including oven temperatures and baking times, to ensure product consistency and quality Oversee the full production cycle including forming, baking, cooling, and handling of bakery products Apply glazes and decorate cakes and pastries using creams, icings, and other finishes Operate and maintain bakery equipment used for rolling, shaping, and cutting dough Clean, maintain, and prepare baking trays, tins, and equipment in accordance with hygiene standards Skills & Requirements: Relevant qualification (Certificate III or IV in Patisserie or equivalent) or at least a year of relevant work experience Strong technical knowledge of pastry production, baking methods, and cake decoration techniques Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations Ability to operate commercial baking equipment safely and efficiently Excellent attention to detail with a focus on product quality and consistency Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines Good organisational and time management skills Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team You must be an Australian citizen or Permanent resident to apply.
