The Opportunity We are seeking expressions of interest from Consultant / Specialist Emergency Medicine Physicians to provide high-quality emergency care to adult and paediatric patients within a dedicated Emergency Medicine Department at a major tertiary referral hospital in Tasmania. About the Emergency Department Tertiary-level ED operating 24/7 75,000 presentations annually Admission rate >35% 20% paediatric caseload Co-located Emergency Medical Unit (EMU): 28-bed short-stay unit High turnover, diverse clinical presentations Operates 24/7 Allowances & Benefits (Pro Rata) Fully maintained private plated motor vehicle OR motor vehicle allowance ($28,389 p.a.) CPD allowance: $16,480 p.a. Relocation allowance On-call allowance (% of base salary) Private Patient Scheme: 35% of base salary on-call, or 35% allowance in lieu if PPS not accessed Salary packaging: Up to $9,010 living expenses Up to $2,650 meal entertainment (per FBT year) Essential Requirements You must meet one of the following: Hold specialist registration with AHPRA (FACEM); OR Be an IMG on the specialist pathway; OR Be an IMG with a recognised overseas specialist qualification and sufficient experience Applicants trained in the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, or New Zealand are strongly encouraged to apply.
