This role offers the chance to lead and shape endocrine and diabetes services within a growing regional health service , delivering high-quality inpatient and outpatient care while contributing to broader general medicine services. The Opportunity This position places a strong emphasis on service development, clinical leadership and improving patient outcomes in diabetes and endocrine care. The successful candidate will play a key role in: Delivering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient endocrinology services Supporting and strengthening general medicine services Leading evidence-based improvements in diabetes care Standardising clinical pathways and reducing variation in care Contributing to clinical governance, education and service innovation The Team You will join a highly collaborative multidisciplinary Department of Medicine , working alongside specialists across a wide range of subspecialties. The department works closely with Cardiology (24/7 Primary PCI service), Emergency Medicine (FACEM-led) and Intensive Care (CICM-led), ensuring comprehensive specialist care across the hospital. Essential Requirements Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Endocrinology, or eligibility for Fellowship via the RACP Substantial Comparability (Specialist Pathway). Eligibility for Specialist Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
