Tree Worker Business: Tropical Tree Services Location: NT 0822, Australia Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: AUD 66,000 – AUD 85,000 per annum (depending on skills and experience) About the Business: Tropical Tree Services is a professional tree care and maintenance company based in the Northern Territory. We specialise in tree pruning, removal, maintenance and arboriculture services for residential and commercial clients. Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tree Worker to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will perform a variety of arboriculture duties including tree maintenance, pruning and removal while ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Climbing trees using ropes, harnesses and specialised climbing equipment to carry out pruning, trimming and removal work. Pruning, shaping and maintaining trees to promote healthy growth and maintain safe clearances. Removing trees and large branches using chainsaws and other arborist equipment. Inspecting trees to assess health, structural condition, and identifying diseased or hazardous limbs. Operating and maintaining arboriculture equipment including chainsaws, stump grinders, wood chippers and elevated work platforms. Assisting with tree planting, transplanting and general tree care. Clearing and disposing of branches, logs and debris from work sites. Following workplace health and safety procedures, particularly when working at heights or operating machinery. Working collaboratively with team members to complete tree service projects efficiently. Skills and Experience Required: Relevant experience in tree work, arboriculture, landscaping or a related outdoor maintenance field. Ability to safely operate arborist equipment including chainsaws and tree climbing gear. Strong understanding of tree pruning and removal techniques. Physically fit and capable of performing manual outdoor work. Strong awareness of workplace health and safety practices. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Qualifications (desirable but not mandatory): Certificate or training in Arboriculture, Horticulture or related field. Chainsaw operation certification or similar practical training.
