To support this, the opportunity for an experienced Group Manager – Health is now on offer to lead the overall health discipline for the business now and into the future. About The Role The Group Manager - Health role is accountable for the delivery of all health initiatives across Whitehaven through the delivery of the five-year HSE Strategy and our commitments to health and wellbeing for our people. Through your leadership, you will oversee the Group Health function, managing core systems and processes, partnering closely with operations to ensure consistent outcomes, and driving continuous improvement to deliver practical, fit-for-purpose solutions aligned with the evolving requirements of our industry. What You'll Do Your will have the opportunity to lead and influence WHC operations to deliver: A shared vision and commitment to an industry-leading health and safety culture An effective WHC Health & Safety Framework underpinned by relevant legislation Development and execution of health and safety improvement strategies Health leadership across our business, improving performance towards getting all our people home safely Close and effective relationships with operations as well as external industry bodies and working groups ensuring best practice health and safety management is championed and prioritised What You'll Bring Tertiary qualifications in Allied Health, Risk, Engineering, Science, Environmental Science, Applied Science or other suitable qualification Experience in HSE roles and heavy industry / mining is preferred Demonstrated leader, who enjoys autonomy and the ability to influence and make an impact through leading teams across multi-discipline functions to achieve health outcomes Ability to engage and influence large and diverse teams at multiple levels in the organisation focusing on customer requirements Ability to project manage multiple, complex, multistakeholder improvement initiatives Why Whitehaven?
