ABOUT THE ROLE On the road in your own car, mobile nursing service delivery to home & community care clients across Melbourne's metropolitan area. You will see clients for assessments, wound care, clinical reviews, continence and catheter care, palliative and end of life care, dementia support, NDIS complex care management, client and carer education, immunisations, and more…the list really is endless. Depth and breadth of experience is a must, coupled with a deeply passionate, respectful, and caring holistic approach to the Home Nursing Service environment. Previous critical care, emergency nursing or and/or community nursing experience highly regarded. Your experience will take you into the homes of client’s with highly complex issues, that you identify and outline in documentation, problem-solve and implement strategies or action at the visit. The role is not purely prescriptive and then followed, our team is determining the plan of care at each visit. Your high-level comprehensive assessment and critical thinking skills, digital, written, and verbal communication skills, adaptability, along with willingness to respond to client needs will be at the top of your abilities. Possessing the emotional intelligence and situational awareness to read the room and respond accordingly coupled with well consolidated clinical skills to identify any need for escalation and client management. Understanding the diverse spectrum of health literacy to build rapport and adapt care delivery to achieve goals of care. Your thirst to learn with an openness, passion for quality-of-life outcomes, collaboration, innovation, with a sprinkle of good humour and good spirit will be highly regarded in a candidate. Willingness to adopt AI proficiency and digital innovation with emerging capabilities as the company evolves processes now and in the future. Proficiency with clinical documentation, NDIS report writing highly regarded, and organisational skills are key HOURS You will be casually employed, and have availability over minimum 3 days per week, with flexible working hours to suit you. There is also opportunity to attend emergency call outs on weekends and after hours. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE KEY CRITERIA You will be based in Melbourne's suburbs, and if you choose, you will have the opportunity to work across wider Melbourne, as far and wide as you wish to travel! You will have a recent model smart phone, printer/scanner, laptop/desktop computer Software and App literacy Comprehensively Insured car and current unrestricted valid driver’s licence Excellent ability to deliver client and carer education face to face All the minimum requirements as a qualified and currently practicing Registered Nurse for this sector, including but not limited to: AHPRA, WWCC(Vic), National Criminal History Check/Police Check showing no disclosable court outcomes or convictions, and no greater than 3 years since the date of issue Accredited BLS, Accredited First Aid, Accredited Anaphylaxis (for nurse immunisers) Accredited Manual Handling, Covid training, Vaccinations as mandated for this sector, NDIS worker orientation, NDIS worker screening check Demonstrated reliability and flexibility as a positive team member, with an exceptional and down-to-earth manner with clients, with proficient language and communication skills. Occasional visits to the WHG office in Diamond Creek may be required No less than 10 years current experience as RN Available to work across minimum 3 days per week (weekday) with willingness for occasional after hours or weekends You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
