An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a talented Senior Associate (5 PQE) to join a leading Workplace Relations & Employment team within a top-tier firm in Sydney. The Role and Responsibilities: As a senior member of the team, you will: Support major corporate transactions by delivering specialist employment and IR advice on high-value mergers and acquisitions Manage direct client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser to HR leaders, in-house counsel and executive teams Supervise, mentor and develop junior lawyers within the team Lead complex employment and industrial relations matters across advisory, disputes and strategic projects Provide strategic advice on Industrial relations and enterprise bargaining as well as; Employment contracts and executive arrangements Discrimination, general protections and unfair dismissal Workplace investigations (including sensitive and high-risk matters) Work health & safety compliance and incident response Run litigation matters across Federal and State Courts and Tribunals, including: Drafting pleadings and submissions Managing evidence and witnesses Briefing and working closely with Counsel Appearing in interlocutory matters (where appropriate) Contribute to business development initiatives, including: Client alerts and thought leadership articles Seminar presentations and industry events Building and strengthening client networks Ideally you will bring: 5 years’ PQE, currently operating at Senior Associate level Strong experience gained within a reputable commercial law firm Confidence managing files autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team Demonstrated experience mentoring junior lawyers Commercial acumen and a solutions-focused mindset A genuine interest in developing your personal brand and contributing to practice growth Why This Role?
