About You : Current MR licence Chainsaw Licence EWP ticket & Traffic Management Certificate III in Arboriculture Senior first aid White Card Position Summary : The role will be responsible for performing arboricultural services such as tree removal, tree planting, pruning and general maintenance of trees around the region as directed which will also include, chipper and chainsaw operation, stump grinding mulching services, cable and branching and herbicide treatment. Key Requirements : Knowledge in plant maintenance and usage in arboricultural practices Ability to work safely & promote safety in the workplace Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team Experience dealing with customers, clients and members of the general public. Attention to detail Problem solving skills Adaptability and Flexibility 4 years minimum climbing experience Job Responsibility : Safely use climbing expertise, aerial rigging to undertake arboricultural services Managing the co-ordination and participation in daily toolbox meetings, risk assessments and equipment maintenance Managing customer relations, ensuring customer satisfaction. Following and negotiating client’s requirements as directed Where appropriate to undertake shrub bed and site clearing maintenance including manual weeding as directed To participate in tree inspections and survey reports where necessary Applying knowledge of tree biology for effective tree maintenance alongside councils approval requirements To undertake a role in selecting plants and designing landscape schemes and complete herbicide treatment for works as directed To assist all persons when / where possible in a courteous and helpful manner at all times.
