Sydney Wealth Management Contract or Temporary Our client is a leading full service Wealth Management firm seeking an experienced Event Manager to join them on a 12-month contract in their Sydney office with the view to someone starting in March 2026 . This role plays an integral role in the marketing support provided to the business. It collaborates with the Head of Marketing to deliver a wide range of events that support the strategic initiatives outlined in the Wealth Management marketing plan. As Event Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the design and execution of high-quality events to meet the exacting standards required for high-net-worth clients. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills, client centricity and an ability to multi-task, pre-empt risks, solve problems and perform under pressure. It also requires analytical skills and attention to detail to manage data, budgets and evaluate event ROI. The role requires exceptional agility, professionalism, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Key Accountabilities Design and delivery of high-quality events: Work in collaboration with the Events Lead anticipating needs, providing proactive solutions, and ensuring seamless execution of all events related activities. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships across a range of stakeholders, from senior executives to support staff, clients, and external partners. Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrate diplomacy, discretion, and confidence in all interactions. Event Delivery & Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and adapting quickly to changing requirements. Coordinate logistics for a wide range of events (virtual, hybrid, and in-person), ensuring flawless execution. Utilise advanced event management software and digital platforms to streamline processes and enhance attendee experience. Support other members of the Sales Management and Marketing office if/when required. Technology & AI Integration: Champion the use of technology and AI in event planning, RSVP management, attendee communication, marketing, and analytics. Implement AI-powered tools for attendee engagement, personalized communications, and post-event analysis. Stay ahead of industry trends, recommending and adopting innovative solutions to elevate event impact. Marketing & Communications: Produce high-quality event collateral, invitations, and communications using digital design and automation tools. Ensure all materials meet brand standards and compliance requirements. Supplier & Vendor Management: Manage relationships with suppliers, including tech vendors and AI solution providers. Oversee invoicing and payments using digital finance platforms. Key Experience and Qualifications At least 3 years of prior Events roles, including time operating at an Events Manager level. Experience operating in the financial services sector would be ideal. University Degree qualified in Business or Marketing preferable but not essential. Proactivity is essential – the ability to craft an effective events program from scratch. Someone who can work autonomously. Understanding of wealth management would be helpful. Communication skills and the ability to forge effective relationships with key stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
