Formulator/Chemical Technician Lara, South West Coast VIC Assembly & Process Work (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Casual/Vacation AUD 33 - 34 per hour, Temp to Perm About the opportunity We are seeking a hands-on Formulator / Chemical Process Technician to join a well-established chemical manufacturing facility located in Lara. This site produces a range of agricultural solutions and products, operating modern equipment with strong safety standards and a supportive production team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, has strong attention to detail, and is looking to build long-term skills and experience in chemical manufacturing. Training is provided on processes, machinery, PPE and safety systems. What you'll do Working as part of the production team, you will support the day-to-day formulation of products with a strong focus on safety, accuracy and quality. Key responsibilities include: Operating and setting up formulation and packaging machinery Following batch sheets and accurately measuring raw materials (up to 25 kg) Mixing, blending and charging ingredients Submitting samples to the lab and completing basic QC checks Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area Reporting any equipment or process issues Supporting continuous improvement initiatives What You'll Need (and How to Get Started) We're looking for someone reliable, attentive and comfortable in a hands-on environment. Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accuracy Comfort with manual handling (lifting up to 25 kg) Strong safety mindset and ability to work with chemicals/PPE Good communication and teamwork skills Interest in manufacturing, chemical processes or production work Study or experience in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Science or manufacturing (desirable) Forklift licence (or willing to obtain) Experience in batching, mixing or QC is highly regarded but not essential.
