Opa Bar & Mezze, part of the Tassis Group, is looking for a driven and dynamic Assistant Venue Manager to join the team.
This is a casual entry into a leadership role, with pathways to full-time AVM following a successful probation period.
We’re after someone who is fast, switched-on, operationally sharp, and passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences in a high-energy, premium environment.
What You’ll Do
As an Assistant Venue Manager, you will play a key role in both leading the floor and supporting venue operations, including:
- Lead from the front to deliver exceptional, consistent customer experiences
- Support the Venue Manager in day-to-day operations across floor, bar, and service
- Supervise, motivate and develop staff to maintain high performance and engagement
- Manage service flow in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Assist with staff rostering, labour control, and shift planning
- Handle cash management, reporting, and end-of-day reconciliation
- Oversee stock control, ordering, and supplier coordination
- Ensure compliance with venue standards, cleanliness, and procedures
- Step into leadership during service and take ownership of outcomes
This is a hands-on leadership role — you’ll be on the floor driving service, while also supporting key administrative and operational functions.
