This position is suited to a passionate and experienced chef who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and has strong skills in Indian and Nepalese cuisine. Position Details Position: Full-Time Chef Location: Kadina, South Australia 5554 Employment Type: Full-time (38 hours per week) Salary: AUD $77,000 per year plus superannuation Key Responsibilities Plan and develop menus in consultation with management. Prepare and cook a wide range of Indian and Nepalese dishes , including regional curries. Prepare and cook Tandoori dishes and Indian appetisers . Ensure food is prepared and presented to a high standard. Prepare meals for customers with special dietary requirements. Manage kitchen preparation lists and coordinate kitchen operations. Monitor food costs and assist with stock control and ordering. Receive, store, and rotate food supplies according to food safety standards. Train and supervise kitchen staff when required. Maintain kitchen cleanliness and ensure compliance with food safety and workplace health & safety standards . Skills and Experience Required Relevant Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification . At least 2 years of experience as a chef in a commercial kitchen . Experience preparing Indian and Nepalese cuisine , including curries and tandoori dishes. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Availability to work on weekends, evenings, and public holidays on a rotating roster .
