Senior Data Engineer - DBT Cloud & Databricks Contract | Remote (AU/NZ) | Immediate Start | $1000 - $1255 PD Inc Super We are currently working exclusively to deliver a large-scale data platform project for a major enterprise client . They are looking for a Senior Databricks Data Engineer with strong DBT Cloud experience to join an established engineering team and help lead best practices around DBT implementation. You will work alongside a Project Manager and Databricks engineers to design and build scalable data pipelines and transformation layers within an Azure Databricks Lakehouse environment . Key Responsibilities: Design and build data ingestion pipelines using Azure Databricks Implement and manage data transformation frameworks using DBT Cloud Work with Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) within a modern lakehouse platform Provide technical guidance and best practices around DBT development Collaborate with engineering teams and delivery stakeholders in an Agile environment Skills & Experience: Strong experience with Azure Databricks Proven experience implementing DBT Cloud (DBT Core also considered) Experience building enterprise-scale data platforms Strong SQL and data modelling skills Experience working within Medallion / Lakehouse architectures Experience working in Agile environments (Jira desirable) Contract Details: Immediate start (or ASAP) 6 months initial with likely extensions Remote anywhere in Australia If you are a Databricks engineer with strong DBT Cloud experience and are interested in joining a high-impact enterprise data project, we would love to hear from you.
