Current hourly rate of $31.21 to $55.14 (dependent on qualifications and experience). About the role: Lead with purpose as a Room Leader/Early Childhood Teacher by creating meaningful learning experiences for children with autism in a supportive, early learning environment. This position leads a team of Early Intervention Specialists, and partners with our on-site Therapeutic team and wider Centre teams; and Monitors, evaluates, and reviews the implementation of programs against set goals (identified in Individual Plans) by using child progress data sets and observations, and; Supports families and carers by providing regular engagement, and training and education opportunities to help further develop child outcomes in the home and community, and; Provides input into the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of family and community awareness and education sessions and capacity building. Who we are looking for: You are a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Educator or Room Leader, seeking a purposeful and meaningful opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of children with autism. Essential requirements include: Room Leader: You hold an ACECQA approved Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification. Early Childhood Teacher: You hold an ACECQA approved Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching or equivalent qualification. A demonstrated and genuine, values-based leadership style with commitment to supporting and growing teams with experience leading and coaching staff to deliver required outcomes. Understanding and knowledge of implementing the Early Years Learning Framework program and the demonstrated ability to implement an educational and child-centred program Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is highly regarded as is willingness to learn evidence-based intervention strategies and ASD-specific techniques.
