About You : Tertiary qualifications in psychology Full AHPRA Registration NDIS Worker Check Working With Children Check Vehicle & Insurance Drivers Licence Position Summary : Provide individual counselling / therapy to clients / patients across the life span (school aged to elderly) under a variety of frameworks including but not limited to NDIS, Medicare, RTWSA, CTP- Motor Vehicle, Employee Assistance Programs, Private Provide assessment services within expertise Deliver training and workshops to customers to support business development / relationship management and / or in meeting EAP servicing Challenges Associated with the Role Working with individuals of varying skill and experience levels and varietal educational background Overseeing the quality and performance of individuals within Activ8 Minds current hybrid model of work ( where staff may substantially work from home and or be remote) Support the safety of staff working in community Navigating changes introduced by the NDIS impacting service delivery , this may be requirements regarding practitioner registration ,service activities, compliance, general audit requirements and fees/ billing guidelines. Key Requirements : Knowledge and Skills in applying a variety of evidence based therapies such as CBT, ACT , Schema, Mindfulness and other as required Ability to provide written and oral reports incorporating psychological knowledge and theory, treatment planning , recommendations and functional guidelines to clients, carers, educators, referrers, insurers In depth professional knowledge and aptitude of psychological practice across the age span Ability to autonomous problem solve and apply organisational policies/ procedures and best practice psychological research to the role Time Management – ability to afford appropriate amounts of time to required non -billable / support activities and achieve required productivity and quality benchmarks Insight in evaluating own performance and the success of client / patients therapy plan and to action adjustments for continuous improvement and successful outcomes. Job Responsibility : Technical Application Apply professional expertise, independence, clinical competence and highly developed reflective practice skills drawing on theory, psychology best practice and operational requirements, in order to select the most suitable therapy approach , therapy plan , goals, assessment / measurement tools Understand the service framework under which you are providing a therapy service and develop therapy plans and strategy for engagement which meets the framework intent / goals and fee schedule. Monitor and evaluate own patient therapy plans and patient therapy outcomes Following billing guidelines and apply appropriate billings for service activities. Do not overcharge beyond service framework/ service agreement / expected organisational standards. Personal & Professional Development & Collaboration & Communication Work under limited direction for own participant files, adopting professional responsibility for high standard of care Display commitment to continuous personal and professional development by attending internal team meetings and training and other scheduled mandatory training Support the development of other team members , particularly junior, in developing their professional skills and competencies Client & Customer Service Treat all clients/ patients with respect & dignity Promote cultural safety by valuing and promoting cultural and diversity needs of patients and their carers Actively adopt a multi disciplined approach and actively engage with parents, families and educators to establish appropriate therapy plans for young people Adopt a proactive service, initiate contact , offer recommendations and suggestions, provide availability for engagement and collaboration Seek client / patient feedback on services and therapy plans, maintain records in the client case notes and adjust therapy approach based to feedback Administration & Documentation Comply with organisational requirements for the accurate and timely completion of documentation, reports and client / patient case notes, risk and incident registers and staff record keeping Prepare comprehensive, high-level reports for patients/ clients with recommendations suited to the patients status and in recognition of the intent of the framework and the service overall. Appropriately identify, use and apply relevant Activ8 Mind policies, procedures, reporting and documentation systems.
