About the Company A national market leader in property and grounds maintenance has developed a new role in response to steady market growth. This business services clients including government bodies, utilities, and property developers in a range of services including irrigation, softscape landscaping, tree planting and minor projects. About the Role As the Manager – Softscape Contracts (internally titled Contract Manager), you will enjoy the responsibility of complete project management of a range of open space contracts, including the management of a supervisor and their team of 15 dedicated field staff. You will prepare quotations and contribute to tender submissions although client liaison is where you will truly shine. You will excel in supplier and subcontractor management and will be driven to bring about client satisfaction in competed works, on time and within budget. This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis. Duties Ensure WH&S and related legislative compliance Educate and train in policies, operational protocols, and behaviours Successfully manage the client relationships, increasing revenue, client base and profitability Oversee working sites, staff, subcontractors, fleet, plant and equipment Liaise with and manage suppliers and their contracts Ensure routine and responsive works are completed successfully within relevant timeframes Audit and report on sites, operations, productivity and standards of staff and contracts Deliver projects within financial budgets and timelines, ensuring contractual compliance Collaborate in the timely production of tenders Skills & Experience Previous successful management of a field-based team in a related industry Proven experience in the contract management of gardens, grounds and property maintenance Demonstrable skills in client negotiation and management Strong commercial acumen National Police Clearance and an unrestricted SA drivers’ licence Diploma in Horticulture or equivalent or trade qualification is desirable Also desirable is OH&S and Traffic Management certification, ChemCert registration, and a First Aid certificate Culture & Benefits Dynamic, progressive, and growing national organisation Positive and supportive business culture with collaborative and accessible leadership Generous renumeration and a personal use, dual cab vehicle Join an employer who recognises strong performance and rewards with renumeration and responsibility Flexibility to manage your team and your time your way Take the step off of the tools How to Apply Click APPLY to submit your application including cover letter and CV in one document in Microsoft Word only.
