The organisation delivers long term engineering, design and sustainment services across highvalue assets, offering a stable and technically challenging environment. Your new role Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager, you will provide senior level structural engineering support across complex platforms. This role focusses on structural design, analysis and technical assurance, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and key stakeholders.Key responsibilities include: Delivering structural engineering solutions across complex assets, including: Primary and secondary structural elements Equipment and machinery foundations Major support and temporary structures Performing first principles structural calculations to applicable standards Conducting finite element analysis (FEA) for complex structural problems Undertaking technical investigations, root cause analysis and solution development Producing high quality engineering reports and technical documentation Planning and coordinating engineering activities from concept through to delivery Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure integrated design outcomes Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers Operating in accordance with WHS, environmental and quality requirements in a regulated environment What you'll need to succeed A Bachelors degree in Engineering (Structural, Mechanical, Naval Architecture or similar) Experience in a structural engineering role within heavy industry, maritime, defence or infrastructure environments Strong experience in structural analysis and design, ideally involving steel structures Proven capability in finite element modelling and analysis (e.g. ANSYS or similar) Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation Experience working in regulated engineering environments and applying relevant standards Strong technical writing and reporting skills Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capability Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and deliver in highpressure environments Eligibility to obtain and maintain NV1 security clearance What you'll get in return A longterm, stable role supporting complex, highvalue assets A senior technical position with influence over design and analysis outcomes Opportunity to mentor engineers and contribute to technical capability development Competitive salary package aligned to experience A collaborative and professional engineering environment What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV to Holly.Powell@hays.com.au , or call us now.
