Join a leading Defence Industry organisation as a Senior Combat Systems Integration Engineer - Sydney located Your new company A wellestablished defence engineeringorganisation supporting major Naval platforms is seeking aSenior Combat Systems Integration Engineerto join its Sydneybased team. The organisation operates within a longterm design support and sustainment program, deliveringcomplex combat system integration outcomes across inservice naval vessels. Your new role Reportingto the Project Engineering Manager, you will provide seniorlevelcombat systems integration expertise across naval ship platforms. This role isfocused on platform integration, technical assurance and engineering delivery,working closely with multidisciplinary teams and Defence stakeholders. Your responsibilitieswill include: Deliveringcombat systems integrationengineeringacross naval platforms using robust systemsengineering processes Providingtechnical support and integration oversight for: CombatManagement Systems and sensors (radars, surveillance systems, tactical datalinks) Weaponsand sensor systems (missile systems, gun systems, fire control,countermeasures) Communicationssystems (satellite and terrestrial radios, IP networks, intercom and switchingsystems) Navigationsystems (ECDIS, navigation radars, inertial navigation systems) Entertainmentand training systems Undertakingtechnical investigations, rootcause analysis and solution development Managingwholeofship and compartment integration, including cabling, HVAC, electrical,weight and platform impacts Producinghighquality technicalreports and engineering documentationin accordance with customer and regulatory standards Planning and coordinating engineering tasks fromconcept through to delivery Leading and participating indesigncoordination and design review meetingswith internalteams and Defence stakeholders Providingmentoring and technical guidanceto junior engineers as required Operatingin accordance with WHS, environmental and quality requirements within aregulated defence environment What you'll need to succeed Strong experience incombat systemsintegration or related naval systems engineering Background working within atechnicaldefence or maritime environment Demonstrated understanding ofcombatsystems, communications and sensor technologies Experienceintegrating complex systems into ship platforms Ability to read and interpretelectricalsingle line diagrams and cable block diagrams Strongstakeholder engagement and communication skills Ability to work autonomously, manage competingpriorities and deliver in highpressure environments Eligibility to obtain and maintainNV1security clearance What you'll get in return A longterm,stable role supportingcomplexnaval combat systems Exposure to highprofile, inservice defence platforms Asenior technical role with real influence over integration outcomes Opportunityto mentor engineers and shape combat systems engineering capability Competitivesalary package aligned to experience Work within a structured, wellsupporteddefence program environment What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV to holly.powell@hays.com.au , or call us now.
