ME Medical Recruitment We are currently recruiting for an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Consultant for a Regional Hospital in WA. This is a Permanent Full-Time appointment for 80 hours per fortnight. About the role: We currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Consultant – Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who will be responsible for the specialist clinical care of Obstetric and Gynaecological patients attending the Health Campus as well as specialist clinical services across the region You will work along with two other specialists and three registrars. The on-call roster is also supplemented by three GPOs. The department plays an active role in teaching students from the Rural Clinical School and is an accredited training site for CWH, basic and advanced DRANZCOG. As part of this role, you will also be able to provide leadership and deliver excellent clinical performance as well as administrative leadership in combination with the Clinical Nurse Specialist of Maternity. You will be able to participate in policy development and review for clinical governance and work collaboratively with other clinical practitioners. Eligible for registration by the Medical Board of Australia. 2. Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists or equivalent. 3. Demonstrated experience in specialist practice as an General Obstetrician/Gynaecologist. 4. Ability to participate in Family Planning Services. 5. Demonstrated contemporary knowledge of professional issues and trends in Obstetrics and Gynaecological health services. 6. Highly developed communication, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. 7. Demonstrated commitment to clinical governance within healthcare. 8. Eligible for or in possession of a current C or C-A Class driver’s licence.
