Sydney Investment Banking Permanent Our client is a leading institutional equities broking and advisory firm seeking an experienced ECM / Corporate Finance Associate or Analyst reporting into the Head of Corporate. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our client’s Corporate Finance team, with a primary focus on equity capital markets (ECM) , including IPOs, pre-IPO transactions, and secondary market capital raisings (on-market placements, rights issues, and block trades). This role is suited to individuals with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of capital markets who are looking to take ownership of transactions from origination through to execution. Ideal backgrounds will be candidates with 2-5 years’ relevant experience post University in Corporate Advisory, ECM, M&A . Responsibilites: Transaction Execution Support IPOs, pre-IPO capital raisings, and listed placements from inception to completion. Lead due diligence processes across legal, financial, and commercial streams. Prepare and review disclosure documentation including prospectuses, information memoranda, and ASX announcements. Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction structures. Assist with bookbuild processes and liaise with brokers, institutional investors, and internal sales teams. Client & Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with corporate clients, boards, and executive management teams throughout the capital raising journey. Draft and prepare high-quality company presentations, investor decks, and roadshow materials. Coordinate with legal, tax, and accounting advisors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Present transaction analysis and recommendations to the firm’s investment committee. Market & Investment Analysis Assess companies and projects for investment suitability, considering financial metrics, industry trends, and market positioning. Provide insights on transaction structures, pricing, and investor appetite. Monitor market developments, regulatory updates, and competitor activity in ECM and corporate finance Experience required: 2–5 years’ experience in corporate finance, investment banking, ECM, or related professional services. Strong financial modelling and valuation skills, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent written skills with proven ability to draft prospectuses, disclosure documents, and investor presentations. Strong understanding of ASX listing rules, Corporations Act requirements, and ECM transaction processes. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a high-pressure environment. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with C-suite executives and investors.
