Learning Lead, Humanities, Melbourne Location: North Eastern Melbourne Starting: January 2026 Salary in-line with the: $79,589 to $118,063 per annum super POL allowance (in line with the Victorian Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement) Tenure: Full time Prospero Teaching is proud to be working in partnership with a Catholic secondary college for boys in Melbourne’s northeast. The college is seeking a dedicated and inspiring learning leader humanities to join its dynamic learning community from Term 1, 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher and leader to guide a collaborative humanities team of 10 staff and contribute to the ongoing development of a strong teaching and learning culture within a Catholic environment. Key Learning Lead teacher of Humanities responsibilities Provide instructional leadership across the full suite of Humanities subjects (Years 7–12, including VCE). Lead, mentor, and support a team of 10 dedicated Humanities teachers. Drive curriculum planning, assessment practices, and pedagogy aligned with the Victorian Curriculum and VCE pathways. Foster a culture of academic excellence, collaboration, and reflective practice. Contribute actively to the broader life of the College, including co-curricular involvement. Model and uphold the Catholic ethos and values that underpin the school community. The successful Learning Lead teacher of Humanities will: Hold a recognised secondary teaching qualification (B.Ed, M.Teach or equivalent). Be registered (or eligible) with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT). Demonstrate proven leadership experience in curriculum development, assessment, and staff coaching/mentoring. Be an excellent communicator with a collaborative approach to building team capacity.
