Special Education Needs Teacher – School for Specific Purposes (SSP), Western Sydney Location: Western Sydney Start Date: Term 2 2026 Type: Full-time, ongoing Prospero Teaching is seeking a passionate and committed Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher to join a School for Specific Purposes (SSP) in Western Sydney. This is a unique opportunity to work with young men (15 years and older) in a secure education setting, many of whom experience complex learning needs, educational disruption, and social-emotional challenges. About the school This SSP provides education and training in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. Programs are tailored to meet individual student needs and include: Trade and vocational programs such as concreting, bricklaying, barbering, plumbing, and hospitality Automotive training with practical experience on donated engines and vehicles Hands-on facilities including a trade training centre, horticulture spaces, café, and music studio Academic and life-skills programs designed to address gaps in prior education The school supports up to 90 students at a time, many with disrupted educational histories, offering a meaningful opportunity to make a difference in students’ academic and personal development.
