Full-time Civil Engineering Draftsperson position available in Bibra Lake, WA 6163 FPM Landscapes is a Perth-based landscaping business delivering design, construction and ongoing maintenance services across a wide variety of outdoor environments. With over 30 years' industry experience, FPM's team supports clients from concept and planning through to delivery and long-term care, with project streams spanning commercial and residential landscapes, nature play (including schools/early learning centres), and reticulation solutions. On behalf of FPM Landscapes, we are seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join the team on a full-time basis. The role will focus on translating design intent and engineering inputs into accurate, buildable civil/landscape documentation for commercial, residential, infrastructure and nature play projects, ensuring drawings are compliant with relevant standards, practical for construction, and aligned with project requirements. Position Responsibilities and Tasks: Prepare detailed civil/siteworks construction drawings using CAD, including set-out plans, plans/sections, levels and grading, earthworks, drainage/falls, hardscape and retaining details, and associated documentation for commercial, residential and nature play projects. Liaise with engineers, project teams and site supervisors to develop and refine drawings, resolving constructability and coordination issues (interfaces, clearances, access, materials and finishes). Interpret survey data and site information; undertake site inspections/measure-ups where required and incorporate verified conditions into drawings and revisions. Maintain drawing governance including drawing registers, revision control, and construction issue sets, ensuring changes are accurately recorded and communicated. Support project documentation including material schedules, quantities/take-offs (where required), specifications support and as-built updates. Ensure drafting outputs support compliance with applicable safety, environmental and quality requirements relevant to outdoor works and nature play environments. Stay current with drafting standards, CAD efficiencies and construction methods relevant to civil/siteworks and landscape delivery. Qualifications and Skills: Diploma or higher qualification in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline. Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting civil/siteworks outcomes Advanced skills in CAD software, with proven ability to produce accurate plans, details and construction documentation. Strong understanding of levels, earthworks, drainage concepts/falls, and coordination across disciplines (civil/landscape/structures/reticulation interfaces). High attention to detail, strong time management, and clear written/verbal communication skills for effective collaboration. Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between $77,000 - $95,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
