We are looking for the following criteria: 10 years relevant post graduate mechanical engineering experience (preferably in oil & gas including drill rig and shipyard experience) Mechanical engineering technical design experience Hydraulics and control systems Mechanical Components Lifting Systems Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong people and project management skills Innovative approach to problem solving Business Development skills Ability to work effectively in a multi discipline team environment Strong commitment to Safety and Quality Australian Residency Rights Commercial acumen and nous, with experience in preparing proposals Flexibility for site work if required Desirable: Customer Relationship Management skills Experience in control systems design Knowledge of jack-up and semi-submersible drilling rigs Experience with drilling equipment/operations *Other qualifications e.g. Mandarin language skills, Commerce or Marketing Remuneration - The client is looking to pay a salary in the region of $180,000 however this is completely negotiable and is down to skill and experience.
