Sydney Investment Banking Permanent This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly innovative and fast-paced trading firm as a Corporate Actions Specialist. Based in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, this full-time position sits within the firm’s operations team and plays a critical role in supporting the trading function. Candidates must have over 5 years hands-on Corporate Actions experience within a broker, bank, hedge fund, or asset manager and Ideally covered APAC markets Key Responsibilities Monitor and process corporate actions including dividends, mergers, rights issues and stock splits across APAC-listed instruments Process both mandatory and voluntary events (dividends, splits, rights/tenders, offers, mergers, buy-backs, DRPs) Validate data from issuer documentation, exchange notices, and custodian communications Support dividend capture, optimisation, and related trade capture activities Ensure timely and accurate position updates across trading systems Liaise with custodians, registrars, and brokers to reconcile corporate actions data Identify and escalate any discrepancies or reconciliation breaks Maintain complete audit trails and event documentation Assist with trading and settlements operations as required Experience & Skills 5 years’ hands-on Corporate Actions experience within a broker, bank, hedge fund, or asset manager Strong APAC market knowledge and understanding of corporate event mechanics Advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivots, reconciliation tooling); SQL/VBA/Python – a plus Knowledge of settlements and securities lending processes Excellent accuracy, attention to detail , and deadline discipline Strong communication and problem-solving abilities in a front-office environment
