About The Opportunity An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Fitter & Turner / Machinist to join a busy manufacturing workshop producing custom bulk handling equipment. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, your responsibilities will include: Operating manual machining equipment including centre lathes, milling, drilling, and slotting machines Setting up and machining components for custom-built equipment and projects Working autonomously to complete fitting and machining tasks to specification Maintaining high standards of accuracy, quality, and workmanship Assisting with fabrication, assembly, and workshop-based tasks as required Ensuring all work complies with safety, quality, and workshop procedures About You The successful candidate will have: Trade qualification as a Fitter & Turner or equivalent industry experience Demonstrated experience with manual machining equipment Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship Ability to work independently with minimal supervision A proactive, reliable, and safety-focused approach You will also ideally have: Experience with basic hydraulics and MIG welding Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills Willingness to work overtime when required What's in it for You?
