Workshop Supervisor – Heavy Fabrication JOB DESCRIPTION APPLY NOW We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Heavy Fabrication Workshop Supervisor to join LGM Industries and support our team of skilled tradespeople based at our Bunbury Fabrication Workshop. You will be required to supervise all fabrication activities, working accurately to specifications and the highest quality standards, whilst maintaining a safe workplace. LGM is a leading maintenance contractor specialising in structural, mechanical and piping services for the Western Australian resources and energy sectors. To successfully perform the role, duties and responsibilities will include: Day-to-day management of the workshop Ensuring all items are fabricated correctly and specific QA processes are adhered to Liaising with external stakeholders Collaborating with the team to ensure production time frames and deadlines are met Conduct regular Toolbox, pre start and debrief meetings to communicate planning and team direction Mentor, train, and manage workshop employees including apprentices Daily supervision across the workshop ensuring high quality standards are met and maintained. Continually seek to improve processes and strive for operational efficiency The successful applicant will have: Trade qualification (Boilermaker) Previous experience in a workshop based leadership role Exceptional leadership skills, working closely with a small team, including tradespeople and apprentices Previous experience in a heavy fabrication environment, with the ability to support on site work scopes and deadlines Good communication and interpersonal skills Thorough understanding of welding processes and procedures Exceptional time management, people skills and a willingness to build a cohesive team Uncompromising attitude to safety Why work with LGM?
