The Ridge , located in Noosa Heads QLD 4567, is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join their dynamic kitchen team and contribute to the consistent delivery of high quality food and service. Key Responsibilities: Preparing and cooking a range of dishes in accordance with established recipes and menu specifications Assisting in the planning and development of menu items in collaboration with kitchen staff Ensuring all ingredients are prepared, portioned, and cooked to the required standard of quality and presentation Monitoring food preparation and cooking processes to maintain consistency and efficiency during service Checking the quality and freshness of ingredients prior to use Ensuring compliance with food safety standards, hygiene regulations, and workplace health and safety requirements Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations, equipment, and storage areas Assisting with stock control, stock rotation, and minimising food wastage Receiving and storing deliveries in accordance with food safety guidelines Working collaboratively with kitchen and front of house staff to ensure smooth daily operations About you: At least 1 year of relevant work experience as a Cook Practical knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods Understanding of food safety practices and hygiene regulations Ability to work effectively in a fast paced hospitality environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards Good organisational and time management skills Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team Job Type: Permanent/Full-time Salary: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per annum.
