Your new role The Healthy Community Officer is responsible for the safe, professional and engaging delivery of Healthy Community Programs across Leisurelife and Aqualife. The role supports participants on facilitating safe, inclusive and evidence-based physical activity initiatives that enhance community health, wellbeing and high-quality customer services. The Healthy Community Officer delivers the Strength for Life, Postnatal and Family Fitness programs. The role reports to the Health and Fitness Coordinator, and coordinates program planning, promotion and participant engagement, including undertaking basic screening and monitoring participant progress. In addition, the healthy community officer supports the administration, development and ongoing management of programs and initiatives, ensuring services remain responsive to community needs and aligned with organisational objectives. Key responsibilities include: Plan and deliver supervised, gym training sessions aligned with Strength for Life guidelines and support new participant inductions and ongoing progression. Monitor participant safety and adapt exercises to individual abilities and medical considerations Plan and deliver safe, inclusive, evidence-based fitness sessions for postnatal participants and families and tailor exercises to postnatal recovery, pelvic health, strength, mobility and functional fitness. Foster a supportive, welcoming space that promotes social connection and confidence and also provides integrative activities for children. Coordinate and deliver end to end program administration including creating term programs in Xplor Recreation, maintaining accurate participant records, processing bookings, and administering Health Fund claims. Assist the Health and Fitness Coordinator in the development, marketing and promoting of programs in the Healthy Community Service Area. What you’ll need to succeed Relevant qualifications and experience including cert III and IV in Health and Fitness , relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience delivering post-natal fitness programs Current training in delivering Strength For Life (Living Longer Living Stronger) is required Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and punctuality at all times and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
