We are currently looking for enthusiastic and experienced Healthy Community Officers to join the team in a casual capacity. The Healthy Community programs aim to improve the health and wellness of the community by delivering services that positively impact lifestyle factors for chronic disease prevention. Reporting to the Coordinator Health and Fitness, this position will assist in the administration, development, delivery and ongoing management of programs and initiatives designed to meet the health and wellness needs of the Town’s residents. Key responsibilities include: facilitating and promoting current and innovative Healthy Community programs to the community. delivering programs and initiatives to the community based on the individual’s area of expertise (primary focus areas of physical activity, nutrition and mental health). What you’ll need to succeed relevant qualifications and experience including cert III or IV in fitness, relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience delivering post-natal fitness programs current training in delivering Strength For Life (Living Longer Living Stronger) is desirable goal-oriented with the ability to inspire a healthy lifestyle approach within the Town demonstrate empathy and a community-centred approach whilst encompassing the Town’s values current First Aid, CPR and National Police Clearance valid Working With Children Check is desirable availability to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and/or Friday mornings is essential The benefits of working for us $50.85 per hour (including 25% casual loading), plus superannuation, free gym and pool membership.
