The Why: This position supports the design and operation of data protection controls, including data classification, encryption, DLP monitoring, access governance, and secure data transfer processes. The analyst works closely with engineering, cloud, product, legal, and compliance teams to embed privacy‑by‑design and security‑by‑design into all systems and initiatives. The role acts as a specialist within the Security function, providing ongoing assurance that Ubank meets regulatory, contractual, and internal security obligations. Key Responsibilities: Operate and optimize existing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Information Protection tools to ensure effective security outcomes. Review tool outputs, analyze incidents, determine severity, and drive appropriate remediation actions. Develop, interpret, and deliver recurring reports and metrics on data protection and DLP effectiveness; identify trends and improvement opportunities. Act as a trusted advisor to business units, translating security requirements into actionable outcomes and improving risk profiles. Work with internal security teams and vendors to resolve technical issues, enhance tool performance, and maintain reporting accuracy. Assess and refine reporting processes, metrics, and data analysis techniques to strengthen security posture and operational efficiency. Your Experience: Strong understanding of Microsoft Purview, Information Protection, and DLP technologies Classification frameworks, sensitivity labels, and regulatory compliance (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, APRA CPS 234) Experience with incident response, security operations, and threat analysis Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or related discipline Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator (SC‑400) Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst (SC‑200) Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect (SC‑100) Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Why Ubank?
