We’re looking for a strategic leader to join us as Head of Risk (Business Partnering) . In this pivotal role, you’ll provide expert leadership and first-line risk assurance, compliance, and control support to our business leaders. You’ll drive awareness, understanding, and change across the organisation, creating a centre of excellence for risk management and uplifting Ubank’s control infrastructure. Your mission? To help the business identify, assess, and manage risks effectively, enabling smarter decisions and stronger outcomes. What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities): Lead operational risk and regulatory obligation identification, assessment, and change initiatives. Advise senior leaders on applying the operational risk and compliance framework to achieve business objectives. Engage and influence stakeholders to embed risk and compliance into systems and processes. Design and implement controls to mitigate key risks and obligations. Provide subject matter expertise on risk, obligations, events, change, and related policies. Oversee remediation plans for control gaps and ensure management attestations are supported. Contribute to risk deep dives, internal audits, assurance reports, and regulatory responses. Drive uplift in risk management maturity and practices across the business. Monitor risk within agreed appetite and manage non-compliance promptly. Lead and develop a high-performing team, ensuring capability and training needs are met. Partner with leadership on strategic risk initiatives that impact business performance and change delivery. What You’ll Bring (Skills & Experience): 7 years’ experience in operational risk management. Deep knowledge of risk and compliance disciplines. Proven ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams. Strong commercial acumen and practical problem-solving skills. Exceptional time management and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
