Costco Epping 38 hours per week I. Job Summary Retrieves carts and flatbeds from parking area using a rope with clasping hook. Keeps lot area free of debris and sweeps in front of building. Assists members in loading merchandise and provides a high level of member service. II. Identification of Job Functions Essential Functions and Tasks: 1) Walks through parking lot to gather carts and flatbeds during business hours. Collects carts in groups not to exceed 8-10. Secures carts with clasping cart rope and pushes carts to front of warehouse. 2) Collects flatbeds, pushes flatbeds to front of the warehouse, following all safety and security procedures. 3) Picks up boxes, trash and other debris to keep lot area clear. Sweeps in front of building and empties trash, cleans spills and broken product when necessary. Tags and pushes carts/ flatbeds needing repair to designated area. 4) Assists members to load merchandise, providing prompt and courteous member service. Returns electric scooters back to building for charging after member use. 5) Checks around building at closing for carts, following proper departmental procedures for performance of duties. Non-Essential Functions and Tasks: 1) Assists other areas in the department as necessary. 2) Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary. 3) Operates mechanical trash compactor/cardboard baler. III.
