The Role In this role, you will contribute to the development of premium consumer products, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to bring your creative vision to life. You’ll be supervising and mentoring junior designers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team dynamic. Respond to product briefings and innovation roadmaps, ensuring customer-centric design and business viability Create and produce designs for commercial and industrial products Leverage your expertise in factors influencing product design, such as cost, materials, production methods, new technology, safety, CMF, ergonomics, sustainability, and marketing strategy Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using industry-leading software like Solidworks, Rhino, Keyshot, and Adobe Creative Suite Supervise the construction of models and samples, testing for function, quality, and consumer appeal Collaborate with engineers and suppliers to ensure design intent is maintained throughout the manufacturing process Skills and experience Degree in Product/Industrial Design Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in manufacturing design fields, preferably in product design for audio, electronics or electrical products Good research skills and visual presentation skills Proven client liaison skills, capable of running multiple projects and working with multi-competency teams within tight deadline and with minimal supervision Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A proactive and pragmatic creative with exceptional presentation and story-telling skills Solid experience in 2D (Adobe Creative Suite) and 3D design software, such as Solidworks or Rhino and KeyShot. Animation skills and familiarity with AI tools an added advantage Familiar with other manufacturing processes beyond plastic injection moulding All round senior product designer, capable of developing designs from initial concept, through ID and into engineering, ready to output 3D CAD data for prototyping or production Proficiency in both spoken and written English. Spoken Mandarin an advantage
