Tier 1, Industry leader Opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects Hybrid working arrangement We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to support the delivery of renewals and minor capital works projects within the Water and Wastewater sector on the Gold Coast. Reporting to the Project Manager, this role will provide hands-on technical expertise and project support to operational delivery teams working under the City of Gold Coast Council’s Asset Lifecycle Delivery Service (ALDS) program. What’s on Offer Excellent hourly rate Hybrid working arrangement Opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects Supportive, collaborative team environment About the Role You will play a key role in supporting multi-disciplinary construction projects by providing technical advice, contributing to design development, and assisting with project controls, safety, and financial performance. The position is primarily office-based in Bundall, with occasional site visits (transport provided via company pool vehicle). Key Responsibilities Provide technical guidance and advice to Operations and Delivery teams Assist with the delivery of renewals and minor capital works projects Develop and review project documentation, technical reports, and drawings Support coordination of on-site activities and subcontractors Participate in Safety in Design processes and Zero Harm initiatives Assist with identifying and managing site hazards and risks Support estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and cost forecasting activities Monitor and report on project performance, cost, and program outcomes Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards Contribute to constructability, value engineering, and “fit for purpose” reviews About You You are a proactive, detail-oriented engineer who enjoys working in collaborative project environments. You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and take pride in delivering high-quality outcomes. Requirements Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Minimum 3 years’ experience delivering construction projects, ideally within Water and Wastewater (SE QLD preferred) Experience with self-perform D&C projects Strong subcontractor management experience Proven capability in budgeting, financial management, and reporting Experience developing scopes of work and subcontractor agreements Current Australian Driver’s Licence Evidence of, or willingness to obtain, Hepatitis A & B immunisation Australian Citizen or valid visa with full-time work rights Diversity & Inclusion Connect People values the diverse experiences, talents, and cultures of their people and is committed to providing an inclusive, safe, and supportive workplace.
