ROLE Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a Flavour Lead to join their Commercial Team in a permanent, full-time role. Reporting to the Commercial & Marketing Manager, this hybrid role combines office-based work with field-based customer and principal engagement. This is a strategic and senior commercial role , where you will drive sales growth and portfolio development by: Managing and developing relationships with strategic principals and key flavour portfolios Driving technical sales and innovation with customers to deliver new product development opportunities Building strong, long-term relationships with key accounts , understanding their technical needs and where flavours can add value Mentoring junior team members and championing company core values Key Responsibilities Include: Acting as the lead for the flavour portfolio for Australia , strategically managing and growing product ranges in conjunction with Product Managers Developing and maintaining detailed customer and supplier profiles to identify growth opportunities and NPD briefs Collaborating with the sales and technical teams to deliver technical presentations and provide expertise at both customer and principal levels Managing gross margins, forecasting product demand , and maintaining a strong understanding of market trends Organising supplier visits and developing joint sales plans to maximise account penetration and innovation opportunities WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Proven experience in technical sales and account management of flavours Demonstrated ability to manage principals , including portfolio oversight, forecasting, and business development Strong analytical and planning skills, with the ability to manage a complex product portfolio Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills with both customers and suppliers Tertiary qualification in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry , or a related discipline is preferred REMUNERATION & BENEFITS In addition to a competitive base salary, this role offers a car allowance, fuel card, eTag for work-related travel, and eligibility for an annual bonus .
